Please Read:
Nathaniel Hawthorne (author of The Scarlet Letter among other works)
said, “Easy reading is damn hard writing.” In other words, something that is
easily followed by a reader is the crowning achievement of a writer working
at their capacity and working vigorously to write the best possible piece.
Here’s a question: How do you use a nail without hammer? The answer? You
don’t. You could try, but chances are you’ll be using it incorrectly. After
some thought last night, I realized I do not want you rushing this upcoming
essay. Yes, it’s good to get in as many assignments as we can for practice.
But what good is practice if we’re practicing incorrectly?
Because I did not have time in class today to say this, we will be pushing
our essay back. Oh yes, we will still be working on writing this coming
week. But first, we will learn to use the tools we need to build.

dreams? Are dreams good or bad? Do they make us strive to work hard
or do they set us up for possible failure? Think of those American Idol
contestants in the very first episode - horrible!!! Yet, some of them
