After Care Information
St. James Before and After Care Programs provide a warm and caring experience beyond school hours. Students spend out-of-school hours in a safe and stimulating environment. In After Care, your children have the opportunity to play with school friends, eat a nutritious snack and get homework out of the way before the family sits down to dinner.
Before Care is offered from 7:00 - 7:45 AM, at which time the students proceed to their classes. After Care is offered from 2:35 to 6:00 PM daily. The students assemble at 2:35 PM in their assigned areas. Based on weather conditions, outside play is part of the program.
In the event that you need last minute After Care services, please notify the school immediately. Call the school and request that the office personnel forward the message to your child’s teacher before 2:00 PM. Be sure to state your child’s name and grade.

Fee Schedule for 12:00 PM Dismissal Days
12:00 - 3:00 PM $10.00 per child
12:00 - 6:00 PM $22.00 per child
Payment: To facilitate bookkeeping procedures, you are required to pay on Monday for the week. Any fees not paid in advance will be billed to you along with a billing and late fee of $10.00 per week. Please be prompt with your payment.
Additional Fees: Returned Checks $20.00
Policy for Late Pickup: Please understand that the After Care program ends promptly at 6:00 PM daily. In addition to the regular fee, you must also pay in cash, a late fee at the time of pick-up: $10.00 for any part of an additional 15 minutes per child. The school may suspend or terminate After Care Services if your child is picked up habitually late (4 times).
It is imperative that you have a designated individual who will be available to pick up your child in an emergency situation, such as illness or inclement weather.
12:00 PM Dismissal Day:Cafeteria is closed for the day. All students attending After CareMUSTbring their own lunch. Gym uniforms may be worn on this day.
