How do I check out books?
* Bring your books to the circulation desk and be prepared to give your last
name.
* Fiction and nonfiction books may be checked out for a period of two weeks.
If you need to renew
your book you may do so for an additional two weeks.
* Magazines may also be checked out for one week. Please remember to return
the magazine in its bag, there is a 50 cent fine for failing to return the bag.
* Reference books may be checked out for two days.
* Books on tape, Book Bundles, or Playaways may be checked out for two weeks.
Please bring back
all tapes and try to remember to rewind! Tape players are also available
for checkout.
* Videos/DVDs are available only for classroom checkout by teachers.
* Can't find what you need? We keep a wish list and will order books that
are appropriate and that
will appeal to many students.
* Is the book you want checked out? We can put a hold on it for you. See us
at the circulation desk.
* Overdue notices are sent out once a month. Be considerate and return
materials on time so that
others may enjoy them. You may not be able to check out any new materials
until your record has
been cleared.
Can I use the Media Center before or after school?
* The Media Center is open to students ten minutes before school and fifteen
minutes after
school.
* You do not need a pass to come to the Media Center before or after school,
but you must sign in
at the circulation desk.
* You may check out books or magazines, do research, or work on the computers.
* Media Center rules as well as school rules apply both before and after school.
Are there computers in the Media Center?
* There are four computers with Internet access in the Media Center. They
are located in front of
the Circulation Desk.
* These computers also allow students to use word processing, excel, and
power point.
* School work only on the computers.
* Print only what you need. Use print preview to see how many pages will print.
