Secrets of My Hollywood Life
Review by MO
Hollywood; a place of fame, glamour, and publicity,
but listen closely dear.
Every step you take,
can either make or break your career.
The paparazzi are constantly watching, and they're not always on your side.
Sometimes you feel the need to just run and hide.
Until one day your favorite director comes back into play.
All of your hopes and dreams of performing for him, block your way.
The only path that's left to take
is filming repetitively without a break,
unless a plan of disguise
is brought to you by surprise.
A clever plan indeed
is just the one you'll need.
You know what they say, one Hollywood rule,
keep yourself away from school.
But don't you think it would be cool;
to experience what most children say makes them drool?
All you'll need is a short wig indeed,
and maybe some cheap blazers, made out of faux tweed.
Also, a new name is required,
for if they discover your true identity,
in Donald Trump's words, 'You're fired!'
If you don't keep this whole school thing on the down low,
your backstabbing co- star, is sure to let everyone know
that you're disguising yourself to take it slow.
Once you've mastered the silence of keeping secrets,
it’s time to make room for those in-school achievements.
But how can you finish writing that report,
when your face is on the news, your career in your heart.
The only way to clear the air
is to take some interviews in the hot chair.
Tell them how you really feel,
and always remember to keep it real.
Who are they to believe?
The real you, or the paparazzi,
who has no better news to retrieve?
Finally, when your life comes close to normal,
it is time to prepare for your school's formal.
'A Night of A Thousand Stars' is the theme,
which means to dress up, as your favorite acting queen.
Of course, you'll decide to dress up as yourself.
Just pick an outfit off your designer closet's shelf.
But what happens when the real you is asked to be a celebrity host?
Does your fake identity move across the coast,
or do you reveal yourself,
being sure to boast?
Will you drop out of school
and return to being cool?
Or are you enjoying the ride,
for it’s easy enough to abide?
Hollywood is definitely glamorous,
but sometimes a break
can heal your aches.
How do I know everything about fame?
Yeah, that's right. I'm part of the game.
My name is Kaitlin Burke, one of Teen People's "25 hottest stars
under 25." Number six on Entertainment Weekly's "It List," and
that was the story of my life.
Dead Man's Folly by Agatha Christie

Complex people and bizarre clues,
All meant to confuse you and divert your views.
Read this book and try to figure them out if your dare,
As for predicting the end I don't think you have a prayer.
Although, in giving you the basic plot,
I might give you a slightly better shot.
When a mysterious invitation calls the renowned French detective Monsieur
Poirot to a fete,
He finds himself with a full plate.
A colossal house on the water feigned tranquility from afar,
But its true chaotic state was revealed from the moment he stepped out of
his car.
Miss Olivier, his writer friend explained the unique case,
And the mysterious circumstances surrounding the place.
When the aroma of foul play hit the air,
She demanded Monsieur Poirot be there.
When instructed to create a murder hunt she found herself in a plight,
The hunt didn't seem quite right.
Monsieur Poirot is called upon the scene before the murder this time,
But the playful hunt still becomes a real crime.
Killed exactly as the game stated,
The number of suspects rapidly abated.
Few know the storyline,
Yet the number of leads began to decline.
Then it seems that a lead suspect had quickly fled,
Or is she too dead?
Did the murder count go up a bit?
If so who did it?
If there is a second body, will it wash up along the shore?
You'll just have to read the book to find out for I will say no more.
