I have been teaching for 23 years. I love second grade and want to share
the love of learning with my students. I am a member of the East Brunswick
Education Foundation. I am proud to have completed the East Brunswick Master
Teacher Program. My husband, Tim, and I have been married 22 years. We have
two wonderful children. Madeline is 15-years-old and Maxwell is 13. The
Mizerak family has a huge tabby cat named Oscar, two sugar gliders named Felix
and Hillary, and two ferrets named Echo and Alpha. We live in Monroe, NJ.
The Mizerak family enjoys water parks, amusement parks, movies, books,
vacations, the beach, Mexican food, and Broadway.
My mission as a teacher is to inspire my students to believe in themselves.
I will help my students develop a sense of self-worth that will enable them
to reach their highest potential. I will help them discover how they are
special and important. With a strong self-esteem, children will be
empowered to make good choices, overcome obstacles and never give up.
Together we will develop the good study skills, self-respect and
responsibility necessary to be successful. Our classroom is a place of
mutual respect, understanding and cooperation. Our classroom is a place
where learning is fun, taking risks is encouraged, trying your best is
expected, and making mistakes is an opportunity to learn.
