| Through out the school year we will be learning how to recogonize and
use chunks to decode words. For example, if your child can recognize the
chunk "at", then he/she should be able to read words: hat, cat, mat, fat,
flat, chat, splat, etc...
Please have your child use this reading strategey, "Looking for Chunks
in Words", when decoding unfamiliar words.
