Will I get Detention if I come to class late with a pass from a teacher?

No, you won't. If you have a signed pass from a teacher or
administrator you will not receive Detention.

Do I have to take a quiz if I was absent the day before it was given?

If I told the class about the quiz before you were absent, then
you do have to take the quiz on the day you return. If I told the class
about the quiz the day before (meaning on the day you were absent), then you do
not have to take the quiz the day you return. You will, however, have to
take the quiz the day after you return. There are occasionally exceptions to
this rule.

How do you figure out our averages?

I record the percentage you get on each quiz and test. I then
average the percentages together for your final grade for the marking
period. This means that if you are taking a quiz that you didn't study for it
is better to put down a few answers and get a 40% than to leave the quiz
blank and get a 0%. Chapter tests in Spanish II count as two
grades.

How does homework count towards my average?

You receive a homework grade which counts the same as a quiz
grade. That means that if I assign ten homework assignments and you do seven
of them, you will have a 70% average for homework.
