All About the Teacher

This is me, Mrs. Brooks, in the second grade! 

In second grade I was a shy and quiet student and I always loved to read.  In second grade I was in the girl scouts and I loved going to the YMCA for swimming lessons!  I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was 8.   Did you know that I went to Whiting School?  I even had some of the teachers that are working at Whiting! 

Now I am a second grade teacher and I love to read to my class!  I still like to swim, because on the weekends I teach swimming lessons!  I love to go to the movies and hang out with my husband John, and our cat, Shadow.  We love to go on bike rides and go shopping!

Here are some things that make me happy!

·       Flowers~ Red roses are my favorite!

·       The color pink

·       M&Ms and Reeses peanut butter cups

·       Gift cards

·       Thunderstorms

·       Summer evenings

·       A good song on the radio

·       Teaching 2^nd grade
