All About Me

     Hi. My name is Jane Orlando and I am now in my 33 year of teaching.  I 
have been at Whiting School since 1983 and have taught both first and second 
grade and also was a Basic Skills teacher for a period of time.  I live in 
Lacey Township with my husband Paul.  I have two sons, Ryan who lives in 
Charlotte, North Carolina and Kyle who presently is living at home.  They 
are the joys of my life.
     Teaching is another joy for me.  I love seeing the smiling faces of 
your children each day and watching them grow both academically and 
socially.  My goal as a teacher is not only to give them the skills they 
need to further their education but also to be a better person.  I live by 
the Golden Rule, "Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated".  
If they live by that rule their lives will be filled with friends and 
happiness.
     I am so looking forward to the year that lies ahead.  Know I am here to 
help you in anyway. Only working together can give your child a successful 
year in second grade.

     Our mission this year if for all the children to enjoy each day in 
school.  We will work together to better ourselves both academically and 
socially.
