Mrs. Sibbald has been helping Memorial School students to develop
communication skills since September 1982. She continues to encourage
children to improve their articulation, language, fluency (stuttering)and
voice skills. Each week she works closely with classroom teachers, Resource
Room teachers and parents to help each of her students succeed academically
in the regular classroom.
Mrs. Sibbald is also a storyteller. She has shared her storytelling in a
variety of settings at Memorial School including Memorial School's Pre-School
Communication Arts Program each summer. She likes to practice what she
preaches- "Good speech is worth hearing."
NJ Core Content Curriculum Standards (3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4)encourage our
students to develop the communication skills of Reading, Writing, Listening
and Speaking in a variety of settings. Our Speech-Language Services program
provides related services to help each student achieve these important
Curriculum standards.
