We are on a roll!
After a busy 2011, we're off to furious start with 2012. h short stories and Zozobra activities, 4th
grade literacy is hard at work.
1st & 2nd Grade Enrichment students welcome new classmates and are preparing to do expert talks.
4th Grade Math students have set goals, begun planning and are working to complete the school year
by meeting Everyday Math/ New Mexico 4th grade math standards and exciting math projects.
Students have been working on math vocabulary terms from Unit 1 and Unit 2 to increase their math
vocabulary self-awareness.
Students are gearing up to do research on Math websites. They are practicing for the Winter Math DBA.
Students are increasing their multiplication fluency through timed quizzes each day. For 2012, the
timed quizzes have decreased from 60 seconds to 45 seconds.
4th Grade Literacy Students continue writing and responding to text and literature. They are focusing
on the revising process of writing as they write about their 30-day challenges.
