Read for 20 minutes F.O.R.L. (fill out Reading Log)
Bring Reading Log on Monday
Math: "Everyday Math" worksheet or practice math facts 10 minutes
* Parents are given answers to "HomeLink" homework pages, so please assist
with this type of math homeworkâtherefore, teacher will not check the
HomeLink answers*
Thurs: Study for Friday's spelling test
* Weekend:
Read 30 minutes F.O.R.L. (fill out weekend portion of the Reading Log sheet)
Practice math facts 20-30 minutes
- Goal: students should achieve automaticity with addition
and subtraction math facts by mid-year
: study of multiplication and division facts will
commence mid-year. By February: students should achieve
automaticity with X0-6 facts, and have strategies for
determining the products of higher facts.
- By year's end, student should achieve automaticity
with facts of all four operations.
* The Reading Log should be handed in each Monday.
- It will be corrected and returned that day.
Specific daily assignments are tracked by students using the AGENDA
PARENTS, please monitor (and assist with) homework. Please sign your initials
at the end of each day/column in the Agenda as a confirmation that
you have monitored/participated in your child's homework.
