READING LOG: Fill out 5 slots with name of book read with your child and have
them rate the book with a face (face key on log). When your child has filled a
log send it in and a blank will be sent home to keep logging books read with
your child.
HOMEWORK KITS TO GO HOME WED: If your child did not bring a kit home this
Wed. they will bring one home next Wed. Each kit has the directions and
contents listed along with any worksheet/s needed to complete the activity. If
a kit is missing an item or very low on an item please jot me a note to let me
know. Your child will have the kit for 6 days (due back on following Tues.)
Some kits will take longer than others so please look at the kit and the
activity so that you can decide if you need to do a little work each day or
one/two nights to do the activity. Hopefully this activity will be fun and
meaningful and NOT a source of stress! If there is anything that you or your
child find frustrating please stop working on the kit, jot me a note to let me
know what you/child found frustrating and send the kit in incomplete. We don't
want to set the idea that homework is hard and frustrating this early in their
school career.
