I will begin sending home simple worksheets in October. These worksheets will reinforce a concept
taught here at school. I do NOT have a due date for homework because I understand how busy
everyone is during the week. Work out a schedule at home that works for you and your family.
Everyday Math Homelinks will be sent home weekly. Homelinks are used to inform you, the parent, of
some of the activities that we are doing in class. Homelinks have activities or projects that you would
assist your child with at home.
Fundations, our phonics/language arts program, will be implemented this year. Fundations also comes
with homelinks to inform you of the work we are doing within the classroom.
Homework-Weekly Reading Log has been put into your child's folder. Please read to your child at
least 10 minutes every day and log it. Once the reading log is completed, send it in. Your child
receives 5 stickers on her/his sticker chart and after their charts are full, they have earned "treasure"
from the treasure box. A new reading log will be sent home.
