September 29 - APS Planetarium
Students will ride a bus for this field trip. A sack lunch IS required. We will eat in our classroom before leaving at noon for the planetarium. We will return to school by 2:00.
October 18 - Charlotte's Web (Popejoy Hall)
Students will walk to the UNM campus this field trip. The performance starts at 12:15. We will leave campus by 10:30, and eat lunch at UNM before the performance.

December 13 - Mariachi Christmas (Popjoy Hall)
Students will walk to the UNM campus this field trip. The performance starts at 12:15. We will leave campus by 10:30, and eat lunch at UNM before the performance.

February 14 - Sylvester and the Magic Pebble (Popejoy Hall)
Students will walk to the UNM campus this field trip. The performance starts at 12:15. We will leave campus by 10:30, and eat lunch at UNM before the performance.

March 9 - Zoo
Students will ride a bus for this field trip. A sack lunch IS required. We will leave campus at 9:10 and return by 2:00. Parents are welcome to attend. Adult tickets are $3.00. Younger siblings may attend as well, but cannot ride the bus (parent would have to drive separately and meet us there). Sibling tickets are $1.50. If your family has a yearly zoo pass, you do not need to pay.
Parent Chaperones will be needed for these field trips. Parents will be chosen on a first-come first-served basis and with consideration to giving all parents an opportunity to participate during the year. Chaperones will be determined from the sign-up requests that will accompany student permission slips. These permission slips will come home approximately 2 weeks before each field trip.
These field trips do have admission fees.For this reason, all second grade teachers are requesting $10 from parents to cover these costs. Please send the money to school as soon as possible since the Popejoy seats fill up quickly and our seats are not reserved until payment is made. If you send the money by check, please make it payable to Bandelier Elementary. If you require financial assistance, please contact me so that we can make arrangements.
