Mr. Shaw has been teaching science at Bosque School since the school was
founded in 1995. Presently he teaches the upper school's Wildlife and
Conservation Biology and Wildlife Research Seminar. He is also the upper
school's cross country coach.
About half of his duties involve Directing Bosque School's Black Institute for
Environmental Studies and coordinating the Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Program
(BEMP). In that capacity, Mr. Shaw works with and supports over 5,000 students
and teachers each year who participate in long-term environmental monitoring.
To paraphrase and add onto what US Grant said about his childhood, "Be safe,
be kind, and do your work and no rational enjoyment shall be denied."
