Lannan Readings

Ride the train to Santa Fe once a month to hear a renowned writer read from
his or her work and be interviewed on stage at the Lensic Theater. Sharing
the train rides back and forth to Santa Fe is as much fun as seeing the
writers. Weekly x-block meetings feature in-class readings and discussions of
short pieces by upcoming Lannan writers. This year’s writers include Tariq Ali
(10/26), Bill McKibben (11/9), Dinaw Mengestu (11/16), Norman Finkelstein
(12/6), John Sayles (1/18), David Shirk (1/24), Michael Ondaatje (2/15), Brian
Jones (2/22), Chris Williams (3/20), Ann Beattie (3/28), Phyllis Bennis
(4/10), W.S. Merwin (4/18), and Lydia Davis (5/16).
