Bobcat Mileage Club

Congratulations to 6A for completing 238 miles!

Starting after Spring Break the 6th grade will participate in the Bobcat Mileage Club in conjunction with their Amazing Race PE program.

Mileage Club

Starting after spring break the 6th grade will participate in the Bobcat Mileage Club both during physical education and lunch.

The set up is as follows:
1. Each student has a Mileage Marker Card in a card file that is posted out side Mr. Bergman's office.
2.  Each section has a list of students’ mileage tally.
3.  The required length will be 1/4 mile at a minimum.  5 full court laps in the gym = ¼ as well or one lap around the track.  Complete either and see me.  Honesty is paramount should I not be present.
4.  Students complete laps and get their Mileage card marked by Mr. Bergman for that number of laps.
5.  When students complete 20 laps (5 miles), they get a new card and their section tally is noted to have completed a card, and they get a Toe Token.
6.  When a student completes 10 miles, they get a Footprint posted outside Mr. Bergman's office.
7.  The Mileage Club activity is open during gym class and lunch.  For post school hours activity I will need a signed note from your parent telling how many miles you did and when – includes biking, treadmill, etc.  Sports participation miles  aren’t eligible as this is meant to be something to encourage activity outside of your normal routine (excluding walking or biking to school as that is environmentally friendly)
8.  Of course, everyone is winner for having participated in moderate to vigorous activity, but the section with the most miles before Spirit Day will get a prize.

Good luck,

Mr. Bergman
