8th Grade Definitions of Science:

8A: 
A process that is interconnected, ever changing, and impacts society, the
individual, the world, the solar system, and the universe by questioning
everything and by gathering knowledge.


8B: Science is a process where we expand our knowledge by answering questions 
and developing hypotheses that provide us with answers and information about 
the universe, the planet, both the living and the non-living parts, while 
respecting the dignity of the objects, animals, and people we study.


8C: A heartfelt human process that is always working and changing because 
of "ugly truths", that alter our understanding of humanity, freedom, 
morality, our origins, the environment, the world, and the universe.


8D: Science is a process of defining things we don't know by collecting 
reasonable data and applying the conclusions based on that data to our lives 
by answering meaningful questions.


8E: Science is a process of defining the things we don't know by collecting 
reasonable data and applying the conclusions based on that data to our lives 
by answering the hard questions about the things we see.
