Announcements

April 17:
For Anne Frank, we will be taking a break from Edmodo. We will be going "old school" with students turning in their work on paper in class. I have documents in Handouts for those kids who want to type their journal responses.

We have scheduled a field trip for Wednesday, May 2, to see Sandia High School's performance of James Still's And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank. Our information includes a description of the production as a "multimedia play that combines videotaped interviews with Holocaust survivors Ed Silverberg and Eva Schloss with live actors recreating scenes from their lives during World War II." This fits in well with our combined work in English and Social Studies about the Holocaust and Anne Frank.

We will provide transportation, leaving school after lunch, and will return to school around 3:00. We are happy to cover the ticket costs too. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns, and thanks for your continued support.

April 27:
The great Edmodo experiment is almost over. Next Friday, May 4, will be the last day you can turn in any missing/late/re-done work for HOTS or WGTB.

May 1:
Ender's Game, our final book, has begun! Assignment info and calendar are posted in Handouts, along with a list of brief points to look for in each reading, to help you spot the important elements.
