What do I do if I am absent?

You are expected to check the website to keep up-to-date with class
happenings and homework assignments. Remember... It is your
responsibility to make up your work in the time alloted, 1 day for each
day absent. Expect to use an activity block or office hours for lab make-up.
There are specific instructions for making up missed lab work. See the
handout in the documents section.

What constitutes academic dishonesty in this class?

You need to read the section in the student handbook (pages 11 and 12) that
addresses academic integrity. You can also view the school's policy from my
website (see the main page for icon link). In this class you will do a lot of
collaborative group work. Working together is acceptable and encouraged, but
you must never copy any written work from another student. Be honest with
yourself, the ultimate goal is for YOU to learn and understand the
material and you will demonstrate how well you have mastered the
material when tested.

Can I use my cell phone for a calculator?

Of course this shows that you are wisely utilizing the vast capabilities of
the technology, but ABSOLUTELY NOT! NO CELL PHONES IN CLASS! THE WILL BE
CONFISCATED WITHOUT WARNING.
