I am married to a wonderful man named Allan. We have two children,
Joshua who is married to Rebecca, and Sarah who is married to Christian. I
also have one precious grandchild named Isaiah, a dog named Daisy, and a
guinea pig named Lucy.
After being a CPA for 15 years, I followed my heart and my passion into
teaching. I received my teacher certification and Masters Degree in
Elementary Education in 2003.
Because I also hold a Masters Degree in Accounting, I am a Math
fanatic. Math is fun, challenging, and is tied to almost everything a
person does in life. My goal is to create an environment where Math is not
to be feared, but it is to be enjoyed. Once students enjoy math, it is
truly amazing how much they can learn.
I became a National Board Certified Teacher in November of 2011.
When not teaching, I love to play with Isaiah, travel, research my
family tree, ride my bike, garden, and walk Daisy.
My mission is to reach and teach each student personally and
purposefully, while developing inquisitive minds that will learn and grow in
an environment of fun and creativity.
My goal is that every student will master the third grade standards
in Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Math through meaningful
application and integrated learning.
