I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I attended Longfellow
Elementary, Immanuel Lutheran and Taylor Middle School, I graduated from
Cibola High School in 1995, and received my Bachelors in Elementary
Education from the University of New Mexico in May of 2000.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching for 10 years. My first 3 years of teaching I was a
science and math teacher for 6th graders at Washington Middle School. I
have taught 6 years of fifth grade and 1 year of 3rd grade at Monte Vista
Elementary.
Family:
I am married with 3 children and 3 dogs. I have a daughter who is 13 years
old, a son who is 10 years old, and a 1 year old baby boy. We own a home in the North Valley in the
Village of Los Ranchos, only a few minutes from where I grew up. I enjoy
snowboarding and black and white photography. (when I have the time)
Every child has the right to an education yet has the responsibility to
learn!
We, the respectful, hard-working students of Selena's 5th Grade classroom,
are here to learn and be successful.
We will work hard and try our best every day. We will listen, focus, and
come to school ready to learn.
