Last year we participated in a project called
Ollie's Travels. The project centers around a stuffed puppy named Ollie. He
wants to travel across the country meeting children from all 50 states!
Mrs. Stamp's Second Grade Class in Manassas,
Virginia invited our class to participate as Ollie visited one classroom in
each of the 50 states. Ollie traveled by US Mail along with a journal where
the classes could record their adventures with Ollie. After sending Ollie on
to the next state, each classroom then sent a postcard with information about
their state to each of the other classes participating. Sadly Ollie did not
make it to all the states by the end of the school year, but you can follow
his 2006-2007 adventures by visiting Mrs.
Stamp's 2006-2007 Ollie's Travels Website.
Good News! Mrs. Stamp's Kindergarten Class has
asked us to participate in Ollie's Travels again this year! To see his current
(2007-2008) travels, visit Mrs.
Stamp's 2007-2008 Ollie's Travels Website.
