Please make sure your child wears sport shoes (basketball, cross-trainers, skaters, etc.) on PE days! Kids that wear flip-flops or dress shoes cannot participate due to risk of injury.
Fitness testing begins September 21st for 3rd thru 6th grades. Like last year, we'll be shooting for the National Physical Fitness Award; check it out online to see the tests and qualifying standards.
Morning Running Club will begin in a few weeks! The gym opens at 8am and the runners leave to run around campus at 8:10, finishing at 8:30. The fall session of running club always ends with the UNM Recreational Services Turkey Trot race, in which the kids can win turkeys for your Thanksgiving dinner. Last year, two Pajarito runners--Brett and Graciela-- won turkeys for their families.
