Many students are comeing to class with incomplete or no homework. Please
know that studetns MUST turn in homework, REGARDLESS of the excuse. We have
recieved notes from family with reasons why their child does not have
homework but if it is not a life or death situation or of an EXTREME
situation then your child will still recieve a color, still be put into
detention and still be expected to do the homework even if late.
We all must understand that we are preparing our kids for the real world. ALL
of us know how rarely the real world has patience for individuals who can not
sufficiently meet their end of expectations.
As parents, as teachers we have an obligation to teach our kids this
enormously important lesson, while our children are still in a safe
enviorment in which to learn that level of responsibility.
