This is my 4th year at VHS, and it's looking like the best one yet.
I have a great group of students, and I'm excited about all the ground
we are going to cover together in the next nine months.
I have a B.A. in Communications with a minor in English from California
State University at Fullerton, and my Teaching Certification is from the
University of New Mexico.
Before entering the field of education I worked as a radio dj, in the
restaurant business, and as a manager in the overnight express industry.
I've lived in New Mexico for the last 15 years, Albuquerque for the last
10. I'm from Southern California originally, but have also lived in Vermont,
Maryland, and Seattle as well as Oakland, Palo Alto, and Mammoth Lakes, Ca.
In my scarce free time you can usually find me with my nose in a book. I
also use my Film Criticism classes as justification for watching a lot of
movies.
Crime and Punishment:
To consider ideas of good and evil from a broader perspective, and to
increase your capacity for critical thinking.
12th Grade English:
To improve your writing skills as we focus them on your individual career
path, and to regain a love of reading.
Film Criticism:
To broaden your taste in movies, and to write thoughtfully and clearly about
them.
