School Review Processes
From 2008 to 2010, AVRSB completed a long-range planning process to examine
the best ways to deliver the public education program.
From that process, the Board identified several options, including some
possible school closures.
As a result, AVRSB conducted the formal review process for two schools,
Annapolis Royal Regional Academy and Newport Station District School, to
determine if closures are the most appropriate options.
Identification reports for each school, the formal school review process
timeline, legislation information and other related background documents are
now available online.
From that process, the Board identified several options, including some
possible school closures.
