Families are welcome to join the student body on May 22nd at 10:00am to hear the testimony of a Jewish teenager's experience during World War II. Philip was the only member of his family to survive.
Board Votes to Permanently Close Annapolis Royal Regional Academy
During a Special Board Meeting held March 21 in Berwick, the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board voted to permanently close Annapolis Royal Regional Academy, a public school serving grades 6 to 8, and Newport Station District School, a public school serving grades primary to 6.
Annapolis Royal Regional Academy (ARRA) students will be moved to Annapolis West Education Centre (AWEC) following planned renovations to AWEC. Funding for these renovations will be requested from the province. Special reports regarding renovations to ARRA and AWEC, as well as a report concerning the indoor environment for both schools, were brought forward at the meeting. New Requirement for all School Coaches
The Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation requires all school coaches to take a course entitled "Keeping School in School Sports".
