Hello. I am the Gr. 3-6 Social Studies and Science teacher (and Gr. 3
Mathematics) here at Bedford Academy.
I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a
Bachelor of Arts Honours English degree and then obtained my Bachelor of
Education from Charles Sturt University in NSW Australia. I spent a year
teaching for Long Point First Nations in norhtern Quebec, then a year in
southern Ontario before beginning my career here at Bedford Academy. This
will be my sixth year teaching here and I look forward to many more great
years here.
Outside of the classroom I enjoy coaching some of our Bedford Academy
Broncos in the Metro Basketball League.
My class' mission statement is to "Celebrate your successes and learn
from your mistakes." Being positive and constructive is vital to success.
Together students can learn to embrace their strengths and view their
mistakes not as obstacles but as opportunities.
