Reading is part of every school subject and of everyday life. It is my goal to aid in the
improvement of the reading skills of the students in my class and move them towards becoming
fluent and confident readers. Therefore, it is essential that they have a strong foundation of
reading skills and strategies to prepare them for learning in all subject areas.

Reading Log Steps:

1. Students should bring their book into class to ensure that it meets their reading level.

2. The students Reading Log is to be filled in when starting a book and signed/dated upon
completion.

3. Students must complete the Favorite Part section of their Reading Log to receive credit for
their book.
