Students have the opportunity to participate in an in class reading program each day. They have a selection of five books in accordance to their reading level which are stored in the back of their chairs and are brought out during our Reader's Workshop. Students have a half hour period in which they practice reading their books. Each child has been assigned a day of the week in which they choose one of their books to share with the teacher. By reading with each child once a week and having a daily reading program implemented at school, students are able to become more confident in their reading and will be able to progress to the next level at a faster pace.
