Character Education Class
Character education involves teaching children about values including
honesty, kindness, generosity, courage, freedom, equality and respect.
The goal of incorporating Character Education into the Bedford Academy
Health Curriculum is to engage students in discussions which make them think
critically about moral and ethical questions. Through class discussions,
readings, group work, role playing and charity events students have been
inspired to practice moral and ethical behaviour.
The foundation of the program consists of eleven priciples:
*Respect
*Honesty
*Fairness and Justice
*Caring
*Perseverance
*Citizenship
*Courage
*Sense of Responsibility
*Self-Discipline
*Trust
*Success
