Homework Procedures
Homework will be passed out on Monday and will be due on Friday.
Homework includes reading, math, and spelling.
Reading
1. Read or be read to for 20 minutes daily. This could be their
book in a bag book, library book, or a book they have at home.
2. Write a weekly response in Reading Response Journal
(due on Friday of each week).
3. Complete reading worksheets or online assignments.
Math
Pages will be assigned in math workbook. Please do not tear out pages.
Send the whole book back to school on Friday. Math facts will be sent
home each week. The students will be given 1 1/2 minutes to
complete the timed math facts test on Friday.
Spelling
1. Write spelling words 3X each.
2. Choose 8 words and write them in ABC order.
3. Write 6 sentences using at least 6 of your spelling words.
* Please keep the Accelerated Reader Log and Reading Response Journal
in the Book in a Bag and return to school each day.
