FIFTH GRADE SUPPLY LIST 2011-12
Students in fifth grade will be learning about organizing materials to be prepared for
school. It is helpful if students have all of the supplies listed below on the first day of
school.
Binder Buster System:
• 2” binder (Binders with a “D” ring are best)
• Pencil pouch for the binder (NO PENCIL BOXES)
• 3 pkgs. College-ruled notebook paper
• 5 SINGLE SUBJECT college-ruled notebooks
• 5 plain front pocket folders (red, yellow, blue, green, purple) MUST FIT IN BINDER
Each Student Needs:
• 5 packages of #2 pencils – NO MECHANICAL PENCILS
• 2 pink erasers
• 4 skinny EXPO dry-erase markers
• Highlighters (At least pink, yellow, green, and blue)
• 3 pens for correcting (colors other than blue or black, such as red, green, purple, etc.)
• 2 Composition notebooks (black and white marbled books)
• Package of white glue sticks (at least 2)
• Scissors
• Merriam-Webster ($8.99) or Scholastic Children's ($5.99) paperback Pocket Dictionary
At Home Supplies – Please do not send these items to school
• 24 count box of crayons
• Colored pencils
• Scissors
• Glue Sticks
Community Supplies - These items are voluntary for classroom use, but necessary ☺

• Kleenex (facial tissues) ●Scissors ●Markers
• Hand soap and sanitizer ●Post-it notes ●3x5 index cards
• Gallon, quart, sandwich, and snack size Ziploc bags ●Lysol wipes
The Clark County School District provides necessary supplies for all students in order to
meet their educational needs. However, we know sometimes parents choose to buy
additional school supplies for their children and/or classroom. Should you decide to do so,
the above items would be greatly appreciated.
