Greetings 3rd Grade Family:
We are busy in our 3rd grade class. This week we are reading "Why Mosquitoes
Buzz in People's Ears." The story is a West African Tale that is a fictitious
explanation of why mosquitoes making the buzzing sound. In mathematics we are
ending our unit of division. Please have your student practice
multiplication, division, and problem solving skills to prepare for our test
on Friday, February 12th. The test will cover Topic 7 and 8. In writing, we
are creating imaginative narrative stories. The science investigation unit
continues to study seeds and how they change when watered. Soon, the students
will be observing crayfish and bess beetles. In social studies, we are
learning about local and national government.
Please continue to encourage your student to remain focus, exhibit integrity,
and give 100% effort to all assignments and projects.
