Hello!
My name is Juliet Conners and I am thrilled to be your teacher for 4th
grade at Kitty Ward.
My adventure began when I was born in India and came to the United States at
the age of 5. I grew up in Michigan and graduated from Columbia College
Chicago with a degree in Marketing and Advertising, but soon realized I
wanted to be a teacher.
It wasn't long after, I found myself with a terrific mentor who was a Golden
Apple winner in the Chicagoland area. A few years later, I graduated from
DePaul University with a Masters in Education.
I have taught and guided students for over 9 years and look forward to many
more years on this journey.
I am married and have a 9 year old daughter who also goes to Kitty Ward and
a 2 1/2 year old son.
My hobbies include hanging out with family, traveling to places of natural
wonder and beauty, collecting rare rocks and gems, reading mystery books,
listening to music, taking care of plants and our 3 cats.
I am looking forward to meeting you and hopping on through this year.
My goal is to provide a meaningful learning experience for children, and to
adeptly prepare them for the next step along their journey
(5th grade).
I strive to challenge the students to think and create in different ways.
We will explore our curriculum in many ways and it is my intention and
ambition that they develop the desire and skills to be life long learners and
productive contributors to our community.
