I have been a Spring Creek resident for 22 years. My husband Peter works for
the Nevada Division of Wildlife and is a non-game biologist. We have two
sons named Bo and Jed who are 24 and 21 years old. Bo is married and living in
Arizona with his wife Tana. Jed is attending the University of Washington. Our
family has a yellow lab dog named Pyra.
I am a certified classroom teacher as well as a school librarian. I have
been a librarian for 12 years at this school. My hobbies include hiking,
camping the great outdoors, gardening, and especially reading.
An exemplary library media program is an integral part of the total
curriculum. It develops in students the ability to locate, evaluate, and
apply information. It fosters a lifelong interest in reading and information
access beyond the classroom.
The quality library media program serves the students and staff by providing
a well-chosen collection of media appropriate to their interests and
abilities. It provides both an organized collection of materials and
sequential, curriculum-related instruction in their use as part of a total
education program. It should adapt and expand as the school curriculum
changes.
