I am beginning my 26th year here at St. Anne Roman Catholic School, and for
the last 2 1/2 years I have been the Librarian and Computer Teacher. This
coming year I will be embarking on a new endeavor as the Fourth Grade
Homeroom Teacher and will be teaching English to Grades 3, 4, and 5. I am
very excited about working with these children. Over the years I have taught
many different subjects and I find the students to be wonderful to work with
and it is truly rewarding when you see the "lightbulb" come on when they
grasp a new concept. This will be a very rewarding year for all of us. I
truly appreciate the opportunity to teach your children, and I thank you for
that gift.
I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Music degree with a
major in organ and a minor in sacred music. During my last year at Kent State
I was the assistant librarian of the Music Library. I earned my Master of
of Music degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where my
major was organ and my minor was harpsichord.
I went through the training to be a facilitator for "Protecting God's
Children" and I look forward to being the presenter of this program for many
of you.
I have completed the Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program in the Diocese of Las
Vegas, and I will be continuing in the Advanced Ministry Formation program in
the diocese.
I am the organist for Saint Anne Roman Catholic Church, and I am also a
trained liturgist for the Roman Catholic Church.
I truly love all that I do. I enjoy the children and having been here for
25 years I have seen many children go through St. Anne Roman Catholic
School. One of the greatest things is to be teaching the children of
children whom I have taught in the past. The legacy of Saint Anne Roman
Catholic School lives on, and it is wonderful.
I have one son who is married to a marvelous young woman, and I am now a
grandmother of 2 wonderful boys, Jett is 2 years old, and Jaxon was born on
May 29, 2011. They are wonderful and I truly relish every moment I have with
them. They light up my life.
I am truly blessed.
