KINDERGARTEN HOMEWORK will always consist of checking and reviewing Daily
Work. To include: re-do pages as noted always turning them back in the next
day. As our school year evolves I will be sending out individual practice
readers in a separate folder. In which case once your child is able to read
and comprehends what was read, at that point it will be returned in the
Reading Folder with your signature letting me know that your child did read
his/her book to your satisfactory as well as read back to me and I will then
issue a new book. No homework on the weekend providing they completed the
work through the week. Homework consists of always practicing numbers, sight
words (a list will be sent home with your child), letters, sounds, colors,
shapes, etc. At this age it is common for reversals so practice is key.
Holding a pencil correctly and motor skills such as cutting is also
important. As a reminder, homework is always to be done neatly and
correctly.
Sincerely,
Ms.
