Dear Key Communicators,
A female high school student alerted a school administrator that she was approached and grabbed in the buttocks by an adult this morning (10/29/09) while walking to the bus stop on Main Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie near Dunkin Donuts. Trooper Schraff, the High School Student Resource Office (SRO), was notified and she is working in conjunction with the family and the Town of Poughkeepsie Police. After speaking with the Town of Poughkeepsie Police, Trooper Schraff has learned that this person may have been responsible for similar incidents at Vassar College. The suspect is described as follows: Hispanic male, 5 foot 6, buzz cut or no hair, medium complexion, wearing a black hoodie, black sweat pants and running shoes.

Superintendent Search Public Meeting
Superintendent Search Public Meeting November 2, 2009 7:30 pm in Arlington High School Library
The Arlington Board of Education has begun the search for a new Superintendent of Schools, who will begin in the 2010-2011 school year. Mr. Pepe Jr. will be retiring at the end of the 2009-2010 school year.
The Board recognizes that this is a critical decision that affects the community and staff. One of the most important steps in the search process is to define the qualifications of the new Superintendent. On November 2 and 3, there will be a series of meetings to gain input on the Superintendent Search from various Arlington constituent groups. There will be a public meeting on Monday, November 2 at 7:30 pm in the Arlington High School library.
For those of you who cannot attend this meeting, we encourage you to use the survey, available on our website, to give your input. The survey must be returned by November 6.
Please visit Superintendent Search to obtain a survey and for current information on the superintendent search process.
