How many books may students check out?

Kindergarten and first grade students may take home 1 book at a time.
Our "rule of thumb" for older students is 2 books for reading pleasure and up
to 3 additional books for class assignments or on current class topics.

Is library class the only time when students may check out or return books?

In addition to book exchange during library class periods, with their
teacher's permission students may
return and/or select books as they come into school in the morning (8:25-
announcements) and anytime after 12:00, when Mrs. Isaacson is there to help.

How long may students keep their library books?

Library books are due one week from the day they were checked out.
Unfortunately, the due date is no longer stamped in the books. Students
should plan to return or renew their library books during their regular class
period each week.

May I donate used books to the library?

We are pleased to accept used books if they are in good condition and IF we
may choose how they are used (eg. added to our collection, used for PARP,
saved for the Book Swap in June, etc.).
