Why do the children have to wear sneakers for Phys. Ed.?

Your child's safety is the most important aspect of Physical
Education.
Sneakers are specifically made for movement. Sneakers safely
allow for
various types of movement. Boots, shoes, sandals, Crocs and flip-

What if my child is injured or ill and cannot participate in P.E.?

Parents must provide a doctor's note if your child is to miss
Phys.Ed. class
for any length of time. If just for one or two classes, a simple
written
explanation of the child's injury or illness is sufficient. This
information
should also be communicated to the school nurse, Mrs. Studler.

How can I assist at home in keeping my child active and healthy?

Simply allowing your child time to play outside is the first big
step in
developing a physically fit child. Children need to play! Make
sure they
have time everyday to get out and just play. Also, limit the
amount of time
that they watch TV and play video games. Healthy snacks are a
must as well.
Monitor what they are eating for lunch everyday at school.
