Message from the Principal
I am looking forward to another wonderful school year at Joseph D'Aquanni West Road Intermediate School. We have such a wonderful group of students that make it a joy to be a staff member here at West Road School. Please take some time to read the Calendar and Curriculum Guide that was a B.L.T project. There is a lot of dates and information that should help you and your child have a great school year. Please check the website often for updates on events and do not forget to read the monthly calendar that comes home too.
We hope that your child becomes involved in the many activities that will be available this year. Some of these activities include: The Walking Club, Student Council (now held after school on Tuesdays), Chess Club, Book Clubs and Intramurals. We will be holding many family events this year. Some events we will be having are fundraisers to pave the track, our hair drive/blood drive, family roller skating events and our annual PTA Spaghetti dinner.
I can't wait to get to meet the many new students at "Lunch with the Principal" or catch up with old friends as they come back again. If you don't eat meals as a family now, I would highly recommend slowing down to take the time to sit and talk with your children. I've found this to be the best part of my day!!!!
