Master list of School Supplies for 5th Grade
                                                                   
		 2011-2012
To help the school year run more smoothly, the fifth grade teachers 
have created a list of supplies your child will need throughout the 
entire year.  Please use this guideline when purchasing your 
supplies.  It has been our experience that some items run out more 
quickly than others.  We have highlighted these items for you as a 
reminder.  Please replace these items as they start to run low.  
Please note: School policy prohibits the possession of White Out.
	daily silent reading chapter book
	reusable water bottle, permanently labeled
	3 glue sticks (only 1 in school at a time)
	3 packages of 3 X 5 lined index cards (only 1 in school at a 
time)
	1 Fiskars student scissors (labeled)
	1 set of colored pencils (replenish as necessary)
	2 packs of pencils with erasers, sharpened
	1 pack of black or blue pens (only 2-4 pens in school at a 
time)
	1 plastic, divided accordion-style folder (suggested brand: 
InnDura by Mead)
	4 marble composition books (replenish when full)
	1  1½” 3-ring binder
	$2.00 for concert gifts (in an envelope w/ name)
	$5.00 for year long curriculum-based project (in an envelope 
w/ name)
	$5.00 for Scholastic News  (in a labeled envelope)
	2 rolls double-sided tape PERMANENT Scotch brand (in labeled 
baggie w/ name & replenished as requested)
	2 family size box of tissues
	Ruler (labeled) with Metric and Customary units (not rubber 
or soft plastic)
	durable knapsack/book bag (preferably, without wheels) 
	Black/blue, bullet-tip dry erase markers
	3”x3” Post-its (only 1 pad on school at a time)
	1  sturdy folder
