MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

CLUB ACTIVITIES:
BRASS ENSEMBLE – Brass Ensemble will be meeting today.
CHEF’S CLUB – Chef’s Club will be meeting today until 3:30.
SCRABBLE CLUB – Scrabble Club will meet in Room 114 today.
STUDENT COUNCIL – There will be a make-up Student Council meeting 6th Period today in Room 119.
STUDY SKILLS CLUB – Study Skills Club will be meeting today after school in room 221.
SPORTS:
BOYS’ BASEBALL – The baseball team defeated AMS yesterday .
DODGE BALL – Do you believe it is that time of year again? Keep your arms well rested this weekend.
The annual LMS dodgeball tournament will be held next week: 6th Grade will be held on Tuesday,
7th Grade will be held on Wednesday and 8th Grade and Championship Round will be held on Thursday.
FALL SPORTS – Any 6th, 7th or 8th grade student interested in trying out for a fall sport, should pick
up a yellow sport sheet in the Health Office or in the Gym. Physicals will be held on June 4, 5 and 6.
HIKING CLUB – Our next hike is scheduled for this Saturday, May 25th. Packets are available in
P.E.or from Mrs. Paulsen in Art C or from Mr. Fiore in Room 114. We will be meeting at the FDR
Presidential Library at 10:00. Because it is Memorial Day Weekend there will be WWI exhibits. We
hope to see you there.
TRACK – Track will be practicing today.
SWIM MEETING – The 8th graders will have a swim meeting on Wednesday, May 29th in the gym.
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
COMPUTER LAB – The Computer Lab will be open Periods 8 and 9 today.
LESSONS – Miss Chong’s lessons have been cancelled for today.
P.E. FINALS – Mr. Misch would like his students to know where they will be taking the Physical
Education Final on either Thursday or Friday.

SPEECH & LANGUAGE – All Speech & Language classes are cancelled today.
YEARBOOK – Yearbook Sales – The 2013 LMS yearbook is almost here! Be sure to order yours
before they sell out. Forms are available in the Main Office. You can check to see if you’ve ordered
one on the list posted outside Miss Chong’s room (next to Art Room A).
