At the start of the 2009-2010 school year, I joined a collaborative technology pilot program for the Arlington School District. The focus of this collaboration was to learn how to integrate new technology – hardware and software – into the classroom.
As a result of this participation, room 21 has been equipped with a SMART Board, web cams, and a variety of other resources which have enabled both myself and students to broaden our awareness of all the rich enhancements that technology can afford us.
Students in room 21 will not only be taught through the use of several technological tools and programs but will also learn how to use these tools themselves in conjunction with the third grade curriculum.
