Arlington Going Green is a project and discussion based course at Arlington High School. The primary goal of the class is to create projects that focus on the ways we use energy and create waste at our school and in our homes and community. This can be done through hands-on projects such as recycling, gardening or biodiesel. It can be done by working with younger students to educate them on the use of alternative energy forms such as solar panels or wind turbines. It can be done by raising awareness of what others in our community can do to save energy and precious dollars lost through everyday actions. It can also be done through teamwork -- talking with others, finding common interests and goals, and working together to achieve those goals.
