Regents Earth Science News Flash

I plan to use this space to update students and parents of my Regents Earth Science class with "News Flash" emails.  I will send email reminders for upcoming tests and important due dates. 

Dear Parents,
The end of the year is upon us!  Two important Regents earth science dates that you need to be aware of:
1. This Friday, June 10th -- Students will be taking the lab practical portion of the Regents exam in class.  We are preparing for it this week in class.  Students should NOT miss class on this day.
2. Friday, June 17th at 11:45am -- Earth Science Regents exam.  Students should bring a calculator, a pen and pencil.

Last week the students took a practice Regents exam in class.  If you would like to know the results, please email me at JLawrence@acsdny.org and I will let you know. 

Between now and June 17th, students need to study if they want to achieve their goals.  Much of the test covers information that we covered in the fall of 2010, so expecting to remember it all without studying is not realistic.

The best way to prepare is to take old Regents exams and then check the answer key to see what topics you need to study the most.  Luckily, the old exams (and answer keys) are all available online.  Here is the link:  http://www.nysedregents.org/EarthScience/
