DUE TO BUDGET CUTBACKS - GOLF INTRAMURALS ARE CANCELLED FOR THE 09/10 SCHOOL
YEAR.
Golf Intramurals are offered in the spring for all AMS students who want to
learn the basics in golfing. NO EXPERIENCE is necessary! Students will be
transported by bus to Overlook Driving Range off of Overlook Road and McCann
Golf Course in Poughkeepsie. Students will be arrive back at Arlington Middle
School for the 4:15 bus.
Students are also welcome to come to Overlook Driving range to partake in
Miniture Golf. Dates are:
Fees are: $4.00 for a small bucket of balls - $7.00 for large. Miniture
Golf is $4.00. All students must bring their own money to participate in
this afterschool intramural.
Need some help with your grip?
Learning to hold the golf club correctly is one of the most important things
you can do to be a good golfer.
NO experience or equipment is necessary to participate - Mrs. Healy and
Mrs. McCord will teach students the proper way to hold a golf club, standing
position, swing, and follow through.
An informational meeting will take place after school on Thursday April 2nd
in room 106 for all students who are interested.
This program will be held on Thursday afternoons for 6 weeks. A parent packet
will be handed out at the informational meeting.
